Darlene Hildebrandt - Her View Photography
Born and raised in Edmonton, Darlene has had formal training in photography
at NAIT. She enjoys fine art, and travel photography, fine dining, red wine,
personal growth, working out and being with loved ones. She's been a professional
photographer for 19 years, and has run her own business for over 15 years.
She got into fine art photography in 2005 with her first exhibit titled
"The Times and Places" that showcased things close to her heart - unique,
touching places, images and objects that transcend time. Her fine art work
can be seen locally in galleries, with the Night of Artists shows and exhibits,
and various other venues.
After a recent trip to Peru,
Darlene was left with a deep impression of the country and its people. Her
plan is to create a multi-media coffee table book, with ˝ of the proceeds
being donated to help the children in need in Peru. The idea came from a
discussion with her business coach, on how to share her images and give
back to those so much less fortunate. It is directly in line with her personal
mission statement to make the world a little brighter with her art and her
heart.
While considering how to get
financing to fulfill this vision, Meet the Money came to Darlene's attention
at the perfect time. Banks and traditional borrowing methods are difficult
ways to get funding.
Darlene sees the opportunity
as a win/win situation for both her and the investors. The business receives
funding, the Peruvian kids get assistance, and the investors get to create
a legacy piece and know they are involved in doing some good in the world
as well.
